This weekend was Small Business Saturday. Some of you may have read my previous post giving a few tips on how you might be able to make the most of it, and if you did now is the time to follow up and bring your campaign to a close. Like a good story, all campaigns should have a beginning, middle and an end!
So what is your follow up plan, and how can you make it work for you?
Tell the story and give the results
Some customers will still be coming through following the success of your campaign, so, you need to make sure that they get the whole story.
Why did you take part? What did you do? What were the highlights?
Celebrate with those customers and supporters that were involved the most
Thank you is one of the most important phrases for a small business. People come to you, because of you and your business, thank them for their custom and for helping your business to be what it is.
Thank you’d don’t have to be vouchers or discounts, you can just directly address all of those involved and say thank you.
Learn from the results and set up a plan for next year
Take a look at what worked, and what didn’t so well, and write it all down. From the good and not so good points in your campaign you can begin to learn about what works for your audience, and what doesn’t. This knowledge is so useful in helping you to plan for your next big push, or just what you will do more of next year.
